Friends, today is the first day of Advent, a time of preparation. This week as your family comes together remember the hope of the Prophets--"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. "Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lords' hand double for all her sins. A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 40: 1-5
This week, make way a for our God. Not just a reminder of his birth but for his second coming.

- A wife and mother for over 30 years, Cathryn lives in North California. She feels truly called by God to teach women of all ages how to apply God's word in today's world. Her writing and teaching is most definitely from the Holy Spirit, as it is something she never would have tried on her own. It was a gift of the Spirit she discovered after years of living in a cocoon of safety. God has called her forth, now she is helping other women gain confidence enough to leave their cocoon of safety and be the beautiful creation God design them to be.
